Do you want to deepen your knowledge around racism and racial justice in order to better enact social change? Are you interested in talking about these issues through a Jewish lens while enjoying great company and delicious food? Base Hillel, Repair the World, JCUA, and Mishkan Chicago are teaming up to make this possible! Join us monthly for a six- part book and film series where we will dive into critical art and literature that analyze the history of systemic racism in Chicago and throughout the country.

Our first film screening and discussion will take place on Monday, February 20th, at 7 pm at Silverstein Base Hillel. We will be watching 13th – Ava DuVernay’s documentary about the enormous consequences of the 13th Amendment. You can watch the trailer here. Light snacks will be provided.
