Housing
JCUA creates affordable housing opportunities for Chicago's diverse communities
JCUA believes that housing is a human right. Affordable, permanent, decent housing is essential for people to live with dignity and stability. JCUA pursues the revitalization and stabilization of Chicago’s low-income communities by working towards creating viable affordable housing options and community development projects which work to strengthen community infrastructure.
How does JCUA’s innovative strategy work towards community revitalization?
- JCUA helps to rebuild communities by providing zero-interest seed-funding for affordable housing development and preservation projects
- JCUA provides capacity-building assistance to community groups pursuing economic development projects
