JCUA is building a team of Highland Park and Deerfield residents who will hold their elected officials accountable to our work around immigration justice with the Campaign for a Welcoming IL. Join our next North Suburban Organizing Team meeting to talk with Rep. Bob Morgan about these issues, and to get to know other folks in the district who are committed to justice and action.

Last week the Cook County gang database ordinance officially passed. With the unanimous support of its Board, Cook County is one of the first governments in the country to ban and erase a gang database that has unfairly criminalized Black and Brown communities.  We are proud to be part of the coalition that worked tirelessly on this campaign.

Thank you to the JCUA members who organized for this win!
