JCore 1:1 Night
Jan 27 @ 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm
Join us for a JCORE 1:1 Night! This 1:1 night is designed specifically to give JCUA members a chance to 1:1 and get to know each other better. Understanding each other and why what drives us to work with JCUA is at the heart of our organizing.  The stronger our relationships with each other, the stronger the foundation for JCUA’s justice work.
If you’ve been meaning to 1:1 with another member, you’ll be able request a specific pair.  If you’re looking to meet someone new, JCUA staff will pair you with another member or staff person.  Never done a 1:1 before? No problem!  We’ll be sending out information and holding a brief pre-session.

Register here to join JCUA for a series of book discussions on the Battle of Lincoln Park by Daniel Kay Hertz! This is an opportunity to learn together about the history of gentrification and activism in our Chicago neighborhoods, and talk about the implications for the political work we do now.

We’ll discuss the first part of the book, Part 1: The Invention of Old Town, on Sunday March 7 from 4-5 PM, and Part 2: The Conservation of Lincoln Park on Sunday March 21 from 1-2 PM. The series will end with a Q&A and book talk with Daniel Hertz sometime in April, date TBD.

Suggestions for where to find the book are in the registration form. If you don’t have time to read the book in the next few weeks but still would like to learn with us, listening to Daniel Hertz’s interview on Episode 44 of The Lit Review Podcast would be good background for our discussions.
