Give to JCUA
“Great is tzedakah, for since the day that the world was created until this day the world stands upon tzedakah” – Midrash Tanna d’Vei Eliyahu Zutta 1
Your donations to the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs invigorate our work to create social justice in Chicago. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, JCUA relies on the generosity of our supporters to fund our program areas, including our community organizing, youth engagement and community investment work.
There are a number of ways you can support JCUA:
- Become a member! It’s only $18 per year, and you’ll become part of a 2,000-strong coalition of Jews working for positive social change across Chicago. As a member, you can take a seat on one of our organizing committees, attend community events, and strengthen your ties with Chicago Jews and our diverse coalition partners around the city.
- Make a donation. You can support JCUA’s work by making a one-time or recurring monthly donation, either from yourself, on behalf of an organization, or in honor of someone special. Supporters also receive complementary membership.
- Join the JCUA Leadership Society. Members of the Leadership Society make an annual gift of $1,800 or more, investing in the long-term growth of JCUA. Leadership Society members receive invitations to special events, opportunities to participate in JCUA campaigns, complementary annual membership and exposure in JCUA communications channels.
- Invest in Community Ventures Program. JCUA’s CVP loan fund provides zero-interest loans for affordable housing and economic development projects in Chicago. The CVP fund seeks investments of at least $5,000 that will go directly toward funding developments that preserve housing in disinvested communities and will create short- and long-term jobs.
