“Great is tzedakah, for since the day that the world was created until this day the world stands upon tzedakah” – Midrash Tanna d’Vei Eliyahu Zutta 1

Your donations to the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs invigorate our work to create social justice in Chicago. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, JCUA relies on the generosity of our supporters to fund our program areas, including our community organizing, youth engagement and community investment work.

There are a number of ways you can support JCUA.

  1. Become a member! It’s only $18 per year, and you’ll become part of our 2,000-strong coalition of Jews working for positive social change across the city. As a member, you can take a seat on our organizing committees, attend community events, and strengthen your ties with Chicago’s Jewish community and our diverse coalition partners across the city.
  2. Give to JCUANot ready to become a member, but still want to fund our work? You can give a one-time or recurring monthly donation, either from yourself, on behalf of an organization or in honor of someone special.
  3. Join the JCUA Leadership Society. Members of the Leadership Society make an annual gift of $1,800 or more, investing in the long-term growth of the JCUA. Leadership Society members will receive invitations to events, opportunities to participate in JCUA campaigns, complementary annual membership and will be highlighted in JCUA materials.
  4. Invest in the Community Ventures Program. JCUA’s CVP program provides zero-interest loans for affordable housing projects in Chicago. Your vital support goes directly towards funding our projects that preserve housing in disinvested communities and create short- and long-term jobs.
