Message to JCUA community about violence in Israel / Palestine

We write to you at a time of immense grief for all of us with loved ones in Israel and Palestine. We are devastated by the extent of the brutal violence and the staggering loss of innocent lives that continues to grow. As we mourn for everyone in our community who has lost a loved one and pray for those still in danger, we hold close to our hearts the ancient Jewish teaching that to destroy a single life is akin to destroying the entire world.

During this time of heartbreak, fear, and sorrow, we are grateful to be in close partnership with so many individuals and organizations within and outside of our Jewish community who are working together to pursue justice. We unequivocally reject antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hate, and we will continue working to keep each other safe.
