I am writing to you with a special Or Tzedek opportunity. In an effort to broaden our base of teens we have secured new funds to cover tuition. We are training a diverse community of teens interested in organizing for meaningul social change, and we want to make sure everyone can access our tools and resources.
It has been inspiring to watch so many of our teens emerge as natural leaders over the last couple months in the fight against gun violence, and powerful to see how they have been fearless before harsh legislation and lobbyists. But we also know at JCUA that this work is hard and takes time. Programs that teach young people to effectively analyze systems of inequality and give them concrete tools to organize their communities for the long haul are more important than ever. We need to equip as many teens as possible.
If you or someone you know might be interested in participating, please contact me! Help us get teens and families who may not have been aware of Or Tzedek before to stand up this summer and turn their passion into action.
