This weekend, JCUA members gathered for our annual day long Community Organizing 101 training. JCUA members traveled through the flooded streets of Chicago for our first in person Organizing 101 training since the summer of 2018. It was so wonderful to be together with new and old members of the JCUA community from all corners of our work, to share food and be community, and deepen the skills we need to build a more powerful JCUA.
The training included modules on the principles of community organizing, 1:1 practice, Jewish contexts and experiences, as well as a brand new module on power analysis and understanding secondary targets! Next up in JCUA’s annual training cycle is Understanding Antisemitism and White Supremacy coming in December – look out for more info on this one in the next few weeks.
