Sally Hirschwerk
Avodah Organizer
Sally Hirschwerk is JCUA’s Avodah Organizer for 2025-2026. Sally most recently organized on a campaign for universal health care where she learned the power of grassroots collective action to create change. Sally earned her BA in History at Brown University in 2025, where she wrote a senior thesis on chaplains who provided spiritual care to patients with HIV/AIDS during the height of the epidemic. Her admiration for the chaplains she interviewed led her to root her own social justice work more deeply in her Jewish identity and practice.
