JCUA Welcomes Rabbi Andrea London to Board of Directors
We’re proud to announce that Rabbi Andrea London has joined our Board of Directors.
JCUA has worked closely with Rabbi London for many years through our congregational partnership with Beth Emet: The Free Synagogue in Evanston, where she has served as Senior Rabbi and will transition to Rabbi Emerita this year.
Rabbi London brings extensive experience in interfaith, multiracial coalition-building. She received the Religious Community Service Award from the North Shore NAACP and was named one of the country’s most inspiring rabbis by The Forward.
“I am excited and honored to join the board of JCUA, the oldest Jewish social justice organization in the United States,” Rabbi London said. “For decades, JCUA has built powerful coalitions with justice organizations and marginalized communities throughout the Chicago area, creating meaningful, lasting change toward a more equitable society.”
“I look forward to deepening that work, including protecting immigrants, expanding access to affordable housing, and standing firm against bigotry and discrimination in all its forms. JCUA’s commitment to justice is an inspiration, and I am proud to help carry that mission forward.”
JCUA’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s mission of pursuing justice across Chicago and beyond. We’re excited to welcome Rabbi London and look forward to the leadership and vision she brings to this next chapter.
