Lew Kreinberg (z”l), one of the founders of JCUA, passed away earlier this year at age 87. Lew was a longtime activist, author, and leader within the Chicago social justice community.  Lew’s family, friends, and colleagues are coming together for a memorial service on Saturday, May 11 at 3:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church, the site where Lew gathered with Dr. King, Rev. Shelvin J. Hall and other Westside leaders to confront Chicago’s oppressive and racist institutions.
