Our communities are feeling the pain of federal cuts to SNAP and other key programs. While people in our community go hungry, huge corporations like Amazon are receiving huge tax breaks and record profits. Our elected leaders in Springfield need to take action and make them pay their fair share.

On May 20th at 4 p.m. JCUA and ONE Northside are taking action. We’ll meet at the North Side of the Belmont Red/Brown Line stop (944 W Belmont) before we head on a short march demanding exactly that. We’ll hit the streets to demand our legislators take action and big corporations pay up. And we’ll demonstrate that our communities show up for each other by raising funds for local mutual aid groups while we’re at it.
