Mazel tov to Rose Silverman and Rabbi Steven Philp for being named to the 2023 “36 Under 36” list, which recognizes young Jewish leaders in the Chicago area.

Rose (she/her) has been active with JCUA since she moved to Chicago five years ago. Rose is an integral member of the JCUA community: she co-founded the White Racial Justice Working Group, facilitates trainings, serves as a consultant, and is active with our sibling organization JCUA Votes. We are lucky to see her around our office space at SketchPad, where Rose works as the Chicago Senior Program Director for Avodah.

Rabbi Steven (he/him) serves on the JCUA Board and is the Associate Rabbi at congregation partner Mishkan Chicago. He has worked with JCUA organizers in his role at Mishkan for a few years, and has gotten more involved since joining the board.
