Cydney Wallace

Cydney Wallace was born and raised on the South side of Chicago. Cydney graduated high school a year early and attended Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where she met her husband, Brent. Cydney began working for an outsourcing company in 2011 pushing a mail cart and has worked her way up to overseeing three mailrooms as the Mail Services Manager. She now works in the office of the Chicago City Clerk. After a childhood of constantly moving and a stint of homelessness in college, Cydney and Bren, bought their first home in Chicago Lawn/Marquette Park. She has been an active member of JCUA since 2016, participating in the successful campaign to implement civilian oversight of the Chicago Police Department. She has four children and attends Congregation Rodfei Zedek in Hyde Park.
