Please join JCUA at Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation for a screening of the documentary called Seeking Asylum, focused on the immigration crisis at the U.S./Mexican border that is impacting cities all over the country. Chicago has received more than 14,000 migrants and refugees seeking asylum since August of 2022 and the numbers are expected to grow in the near future. The film bears witness to the impact of the laws and global issues of the past decade leading to the influx of people seeking asylum and the barriers they face.
